Default 02 400EX starts, but no headlights or neutral light

Exactly what the title says. I have a 2002 trx400ex that runs perfectly and the electric start works fine, but the neutral light doesn’t turn on and the headlights don’t work either. Is this a wiring issue or just a bulb fix? Where should I look first?

I appreciate any help or advice I can get! Thanks

BTW I do not have a taillight installed on my ATV.

First check if the headlamp bulb is blown, or the bulb holder giving problems. I don't know the EX but 300 Fourtrax are prone to corrosion on the holders, and I even had a current model 420 on Wed with both headlamps out, found it too was the bulb holders, lights came back on as soon as I touched the plastic plugs on each bulb. As your starter works, it won't be the main fuse gone, but there may be a sub fuse for lights. The neutral light will again probably be a blown bulb. Most Hondas have a "lock out" wire from neutral light circuit to starter solenoid so, as it starts, the neutral light circuit is probably OK.

Next to the battery there’s a white plastic cap covering fuses check that first then if not check your grounds
