For one I have the money to spend, so I buy the one I want and desire. I have a 500 Sportsman one of the largest, heaviest most expensive atv's ever produced. I enjoy having plenty of power to go were I want when I want. I ride double and carry gear, I don't want to make excuses ever when it comes to atving. and I do not have to. A 300 EX will hardly keep up with me on open trails let alone a Raptor. I actually have a faster top speed than your 300EX.
Hey if you can enjoy riding with a 300 go for it, personally I cannot. Owned a 300 4x4 found it lacking in every way for my type of riding. Not many machines will outdo me in the mud , the weight of my machine has never been a hinderance in the muck or anywhere else for that matter. It is all about choice it is the best thing about America, you can buy outrageous stuff if you have the cash. Why buy a Hummer? I say why not? It wuld be a sad world if every one had your outlook on it.
