Andrew....how far were those guys racing?

 

From my limited experience, stock Raptor's and Banshee's are pretty even up the hill. Piped Banshee's pretty much smoke modded Raptor's any day of the week.

It's not long enough for me to hit top speed. I'm not sure how far it is. Banshees can usually hit their 6th gear though.

 

andrew thomas- went to the profabatv site you posted and did not see any info on the 416. That site seemed like the place to go if you own a honda. Anybody else know where to find info on the 416? Win lose or draw i enjoy running my raptor against anyone else.

 

I would have to say the Suzy w/ the dual overhead cam is a first for a quad that doesn't weigh as much as an anchor and doesn't cost 8k. Face it Suzy raised the bar and the sea of red is gonna catch some wakes by old yellar. It will be noticeably quicker then the air-cooled single overhead cam Honda. The chassis looks very good and the radiator is where it should be.

If you look in the back of the ATV mags you can find small ads for that place.
They have I think 406, 416, 425, 440 & maybe a 480 kit.
They are out of Lancaster, OH. Kind of close for me.

I know what you mean about win, lose or draw. This board is full of Big Talk, but in the real world all ATVers get along pretty well no matter what brand & no matter if you win or lose in a drag, pull, mx etc.

Except for the guy on a stock 400EX that told me he heard my DS was sluggish!!! Then asked to race. He didn't ask for a rematch though

are we all forgetting about the cannondale for 7000 dollars. its needs no mods when the suzuki and honda need a thousand to compete you said, its already out and its good. pick one of them up instead.

You are right about Honda being forced into producing a faster sport machine, or were you? Forced or Planning? I was just waiting for one of the other companies to come out with a sport machine, perhaps Honda was waiting also. A couple of companies to go and the line up will be full. Honda can decide what will be thier next sport machine. Smart as a fox, wait to see what the other companies come out with so that they can do one better!

Your are right about the this new quad spanking the 400ex! It had better anyway. It seems that Suk has spent some time on this machine, I'm sure that they left room for improvement to counter Kawi's,Polaris, next sport machine and Honda's also! Suk makes a pretty good product, this will be number one until the other companies get off thier duffs.

 

Looks like Polaris raised the bar here..................
