Which Winch? Which Skid Plate?
#11
I am going to leave the winch thing alone.. but as far as skid plates this is what I decided on..
chassis skid plate:
I got the Myier skid plate, ordered it out of cabela's for 44.95. It has held up great!, I to do a lot of rock "sliding", it has a few scratches but nothing major (kinda surprised me when I looked at it, I was amazed how tough it is! and I think that the plastic slides alot better over things than the aluminum, but that is my opinion
Bash Plate:
Anything is better than the stock "pie pan" that comes on it. I looked around alot and ended up getting one from a company called Aluminum Products, it is 1/4 thick and very well made. I have smacked into things (rocks) really hard, so hard that I jumped off to look at the damage... well there was none...I was/am very impressed with it!
Stick Guards:
I also got stick guards from Aluminum Products... and I am also very happy with them, I got the bash plate and stick guards for $73 shipped to my door. (they did not have an outlet in Oregon, so I got them for dealer cost.. ) You can see/order stuff from them at www.aluminproducts.com
I hope this helps

I'd go with the maier skidplate, I really like the way they glide right over obstacles.
As far as the winch goes, either warn, rule or superwinch I believe would make you happy. I think the difference in the warn 2000 and the 2500 is larger wires and a better (less resistive)solenoid switch. They both have .9 horsepower motors and 136:1 gear ratio.
