Does anybody hunt with a Wolverine?
#1
I am looking to buy a new atv. I'm leaning towards wolverine. I plan to use it for play but also for hunting. Does anybody use a wolverine for hunting and what do you think of it.

never tried using a Wolverine for hunting. But I do like that fishing commercial where the guy is using a sea otter. LOL
...but seriously, I think the Wolverine would be a suitable machine for hunting (according to your state reg's of course). It's small, light-weight, and should take you anywhere you want to go.

usually, a sportsman does the hunting, just kiddin'. i don't see why not. i have hunted with friends that drive honda 300 4x4's. they get around great, or at least good enough. i think that your quad would at least equal the capabilities of the honda.

I've had my Wolverine since June of '01 and have used it every fall during deer & elk hunting season. It doesn't have the rack capacity of the bigger utes but it hasn't had any problem packing deer or towing elk on a 2-wheeled pack rack. Plus when no seasons are open it is a great trail riding machine. Just need the warn 424 to make it a little sportier.

you should have no problems hunting with a wolverine. I hunted with my LT 185. and it did great.

I use to hunt with my Wolverine since I bought it new in '98. I used it to take alot of deer out of the woods. I had front and rear racks. There have been quite a few times when I had a deer on the front rack and a deer on the back rack and another hunter on the quad with me. I use to hunt in West Virginia,( lots of hills). The average deer was less than 100lbs though. I've had a few that were slightly larger on the Wolverine's rack. The Wolverine is very capable as a deer hauler. The only thing I didn't like was the mud protection. In West Virginia, I had to drive through a few cow pastures. I tried my best to dodge all the cow pies. When I'd hit one I'd get splattered everywhere. Other than that, its a great hunter.

I go hunting on a wolverine and i have no problems. Depending on how much gear u are planning on taking u might want to buy sum upgrades. The reason that I would deffinately get the wolverine is because it has the best of both worlds. Its very sporty but yet has four wheel drive
