Default V-Force I got a question...Stock/Piped

O.K. I need a few peoples help on this one. A while back I piped my V. Now when I'm riding full throttle it seems to hit a limit at full throttle. I don't know if this happened prior to piping my quad because I never ran at full throttle for more than a few seconds. I'm almost at the point where I'm going to put my stock exhaust on to see if it cuts out at full throttle(7/8-8/8). Anyone running stock exhaust I would like to know if your V cuts out when revved fully while in neutral.(for only a few seconds) and anyone running the piped(HMF) V does yours run well at full throttle; does it ever seem to hit this mythical "limit". it really has me wondering if all is well. I tried the 142f/145r jets they sent with the pipes and they seemed too lean..really light colored plug; then I tried 150f/155r(too much raw fuel smell when revved fully) now I have gone to 148f/152r(I have not been able to try this new jetting config. yet because I am 10 miles from where we ride and I just changed them this evening. ANY advice or knowledge from Any one would be sooo appreciated; I am getting to the point where this whole jetting thing is making me Crazy.

None yet. I ordered 2 TPI low boy valves for the airbox that should be in this friday. hopefully that will allow me to manipulate the airflow and get this thing smoothed out....

OK .... based on my experence, I don't think you were running lean .... I think you don't
have enough air. I needed two TPI air holes (wide open) too balance my my HMF duals
and 142/145 jets ... and dial-a-jets on maximum.

I am about to try 155/160 jets .... with the dial-a-jets . May need even more air.
( dial-a-jets are supposed to be worth about two jet sizes)

You're right ...today I tried drilling 3/8" holes where I plan to install my TPI's WOW! that's all it was; can't believe that's all that it was, what a Monster, and it only makes sense more flow out requires more flow in. I am currently running 155f/160r and no more "sputter"! Man if I could backflip like Ozzy Smith believe me I would. I still have not put my dial a jets on, I do have your number and will call you when I get brave enough to mess with a good thing. P.S. I drilled a total of 8- 3/8" holes. Thanks for all your tips along the way. Everybody on this forum is really great about helping one another out. Happy quadding! There you Go !!!!! Don't you love it when a plan comes together

My Dealer backordered the 160 jet last week, But I should recieve it today.
I am planning to try 155/160 with the dial-a-jets next. These quads do
respond well to the encreased flow !
