New 700 is practically identical to the 650 so handling should be close. The larger displacement should give slightly more bottom end but who really knows how it will perform until somebody gets their hands on one to run against a 650. I'm thinking that Kawasaki has probably greatly detuned the new bike very similiar to our beloved 650s. Based on this I'm betting that a stock 650 with just an aftermarket cdi would smoke the new 700 anyday. Just my opinion though, thoughts anyone?

I have to agree the motor is dam near the exact same just a little more cc's. You now already that kawi is going to de tune it.... but how much? If you could get a cdi how scotia650 is saying there isn't going to be much out there that can touch ya.

I JUST WISH SOME ONE WOULD MAKE ONE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not just more cc's, it also has a longer stroke crank! I talked with Don Grimes ( Diamond G Racing) and he got to ride a 700 Prairie last week, he told me it has alot of power on the bottom end but he didn't have room to open it up to see what it had on the top end! I should know here in the next couple weeks how much difference there is when my 700 Prairie gets here! I will post my honest opinion after I get it and get a few miles on it!

I like the new front bumper on the 700. Hope I can put one on my 650.

These bikes are equal in mine POV... I'm staying a P650 until I see a difference. I really don't see a 700 giving you that much more in a bike but I will say if you are buying new go 700 because I think there's more R&D on the 700 because they used what was working great on the 650 and mixed it with what worked on the 700 rocket.
