Bigone, sorry for stopping by at the wrong time. I didn't get home to see your post. I like how those handlebars look. They look just plain awesome.

I weld steel with a MIG. I like to use my brother's inner shield welder for volume welding. If it is crucial, I mig it. I have made a few trailers and other stuff. I made a bead breaker among other things. I weld cracked quad frames. I am thinking about an aluminum setup. I have thin wire for bodywork, but I don't have tools or patience to do body work. Between my bro and I, we have the tools to cut and weld steel bars, tubes, channels and stuff.

speedwerx I put the green spring in last night with 56 and 58gram weights and it has to muck stall it engages at 2800rpm on my tach. We need a 15 engagment and a 155-165 shiftout.

I was talking to nyroc last night at my house about the green spring, I did not like it either, I took it right back out and whent back to the stock spring. WOW 2800 rpm engagment it did not feel like it. I guess my rpm butometer is broken

The green spring engagment is to harsh. and the disengagment slams the clutch back against its stop.

If someone knows the lenght of the spring when it engages and when shiftout happens I can call a few places about getting spings made for us. They can make springs in fast ,1 to 2 days I just need more info to give them.

NYVFORCE i dont get why you want a lower engagment then stock i think a 25/150 would be a good spring

Because I think they make the springs to stiff I don't think the numbers really reflect what the spring will do I bought the hotseat green at 35-145 and it stalled till 2800rpm almost identical to epi's red at 59-145 I've tried probably 8 different springs in the v-force and and I think we have to ask for a very low engagement and a medium shiftout 150-165 range. I think the new epi pink will probably stall at about 1500-1800rpm depending on weights in the machine. And I still think that will only be the best out of a pour selection of springs. The manufacturers are used to making springs for polaris that engage gradualy the V-Force engages very suddenly EPI is the only companie that has worked on the v-force and I think that was rushed out only to be first on the market without enought thought put in it. They obviously realized this since they are making the pink spring but I think that it is only from customer input not actual R&D. A company has to get there hands on a few differently modified V-forces to come up with a few different kits because installing the dual exhausts and doing airbox mods totally changes the powerband in the V-Force from what it is stock that not one size will fit all when it comes to clutch kits for the V-Force. And just wait till we get CDI's that will change everything all over again hopefully the CDI makers realize we will need clutch kits to take advantage of the CDI a produce them or sub them out but that will only make the CDI longer to be released. I think I will see a unicorn before I see a CDI.
