I am a first time ATV buyer looking at a Kawasaki 300 4x4 prarie. I plan to use it around the farm for hauling firewood, fixing fence, etc. I am not interested in speed. My land is mostly hilly. Can anyone give me pro's and con's of this machine? Are they reliable?

Some of our friends have two 99 Prairie 300's and have had no problems with them. They are over a year old now and have been ridden every weekend in the worst conditions (sand, mud, water, salt-water, etc.) I have truly been impressed with these machines. The Prairie's are priced better than most 4x4's too. For the money, I don't think you'll find a better deal.

I just bought a '00 prarie a couple months ago and I couldn't be more satisfied. It has a lot of power esp. in low gear. It has a towing capasity of 1103 lbs. which should be pleanty for the jobs on you farm you said you would be doing. I've put that quad of my through a good bit and havent have problems(even though I shouldn't it's only a few months old), I really do recomend this quad. If you ask me it is the best quad in it's class.

I'm going to pick up my 2000 Prarie tomorrow morning. Thanks for the replies. After much research on the 4-wheelers in this class I am sure this is the one for me.
