Default About Belt Shims

My belt is loose.
Based on what I can see opening the CVT, in the Primary Pulley (the one in the front), there is a space in between the Belt and the Pulley. This space can not be eliminated by removing a shim from the Secondary Pulley. I therefore believe that I need to add a shim in the Primary Pulley.

Am I correct? How can I open the two sheaves of the Primary Pulley?

Many thanks for your help.
Alberto.

you need to remove a shim from the rear pulley, to allow it to go together tighter... check NYROC'S website for full information, & tools required... WAM
