thinking seriously of trading my 300 Fourtrax 1999 for a set of snow trax
for my P650. Dealer is willing to do an even trade( Honda 300 fourtrax - snow Trax)
The Honda is collecting dust in the garage since I bought the P650 so I
might as well trade it for something I'll use quite a bit in the winter.
I'm just concerned if the extra workload of these trax is going to be
too much wear on the mechanics (drivetrain , clutch, etc.)

 

man if theres any quad to put it on its the prarie six fifty. come on a twin cylinder 650 cc quad. is there any other quad that puts out that much muscle. i say go for it. the tracks only take 20-30% off of your top end speed.

 

I don't mind losing the speed, so long as it does'nt put too much wear
on the belt and clutch. I just like the idea that with the trax theres
no stoping where I can go in winter snow. I was just blown away
when the dealer climbed up a 12 ft snow bank as if it were a bump in the
trail. They will be on the bike for next weekend. I can't wait to try
them out to realy see the limit of what they can do.
