Oh, by the way, I had no trouble with the hills. I don't notice the low end power drop off, unless I'm taking off from a standing start.

Customfab,
I was wondering if you have a holeshot module on your quad? If you don't already have one, you should consider getting a module OR the new Dyna cdi to see if that brings back your low-end torque. Just a thought.

Happy trails...

I will do the timing key, soon. I can't afford the new CDI, yet. I was riding some dirt roads around 55 MPH and you can punch it and still spin the tires! I can't believethat it's doing that through the stock muffler and air cleaner. Man, when I get it to breathe...................

That's a symtom of the 20 degree cam timing change, the couple of guys that I know that have 10 degrees retard can flip it upside-down at anywhere from 2 to 20mph. The timing key will help a little, so will a stiff, high stall primary clutch spring. Do you have a module?

No module. I really don't care about the wheelies, although I love to do it, because on dirt all it does is spin, anyway. The trade off for the power a little further up the RPM band is worth it for me. I won't spend the money for the module, I'll save for the CDI. How much is it going to be, anyway?

The red EPI driven spring should cure your takeoff woes.

Customfab,
could you tell me in more detail how you retarded your cams. I am thinking about doing it as you did, but don't have a manual. If I have to I can buy one, but what exactly did you do when you got in their, which way did you rotate the cams, etc. Also I thought this was an interference motor, but obviously you have had no problems, right, as long as I don't end up with bent valves, this sounds like a go to me. Any info you can give me would be great. Thanks in advance.

Customfab,
One more quick thing, did this affect your dial-a-jet setting, I also have them.
