dyna cdi makes motor kickback when starting.

After reading all of these posts again I just ordered a DG3. I don't want to mess with having my quad have problems and I could care less about more top end - only hit 50 once so far and that was a rare stretch of open road for my rides.

Maybe Dyna's circuit doesn't do some of the important stuff that the stock one does. Why would it be less reliable just because it fires the plugs a little sooner after 1500 RPM? Did they change the start-up sequence? Maybe someone with a bad one that misfires frequently can send it to Alltoys to look at, just a thought?

If you ask Don, he will tell you that there are differences in performance with the DG-3, between the '02 model & the '03-'04, because of differences in the stock CDI... It will outperform anything out there currently available, except the Dyna CDI... but so far shows no signs of the problems plagueing the Dyna unit... it has been tested in several Baja races, it is not like the "other" standard bottom end modules, it hooks up to both ends of the pink wire, it comes with a 5th wire, & easy directions for installing a switch ( color dirrections no less )... it is potted in clear stuff, so that you can see the processor, that is not in the other modules... it contains 5 LED's, for diagnostic purposes... & as good as the DGR Hole Shot Module was, it provides even more bottom end, mid range power, & some more top end power... it will not disable any of the stock CDI's safety features, or raise the rev limit, & you will likely not see any more top end, but it will offer the strongest bottom end, & mid range power availble... I believe that Don recommends a timing key, for very similar performance benifits to the CDI...
