P700 runs a little rough after initial startup, why?

I started up my Prairie-700 after letting it sit for about 12 hrs and until it was warm it kinda studdered a little bit, what the heck? It has about 33hrs 250 miles. I've also never let it get this low on gas (1/2) before since I bought it brand new. Could this be the problem?/

Yes it does go away when warm. I re-jetted it a little over a month ago. I have never had this problem before. I pulled the front spark plug and it looks fine. Not black, it's more like a dark brown. Still think it's rich?

Sounds like the Mixture screws (pilots screws) control idle mixture,
The machine is still under warrenty take it to dealer. Have them adjust it , a cool web page for tech help is Nycos,

Only problem is my dealer is 80 miles away. Would love to fix it myself. I've seen nyrocs site, it's awesome but a little hard to understand for the first time atv owner such as myself. All the abbrevieations and technical talk is a little confusing.

FirePig what I would do if I were you, I would take my wheeler in 80 miles away and insist that you watch how the Mech.
adjusted the carb. If he had to pull plastic off etc, and take notes. Ask questions on what to do when re-jetting etc.
Best way to learn or have an expert here walk you through it.
Good luck bud.
Just a question I'm a hazemat firefighter here in AZ , does firepig have anything to do with it?

Minimus, Yes it does. We work with the PD closly and we of course call them pigs so they call us firepigs. I've been a career firefighter for the La Junta Fire Department for the last 4 years now. (24yo) It's a pleasure to have met you. Take it easy and be carefull. By the way, when adjusting these screws does in mean leaner and out richer or the opposite? Thanks again Joey

In is leaner. Warm up your engine to operating temperature and only turn them a quarter turn at a time 'till the stumble goes away. If it gets worse, try going the other way.
