KXF 250 The new green

Only thing about those obscure brands is that they have obscure parts availabality and limited dealership support. I had a friend who just had to have one of those machines that got great reviews in the mags(I think it was a TM). Well, he couldn't get it from a normal dealer, he had to go to an importer. Turns out it was a giant pile of junk. He was very unhappy with the machine and he really took a loss on it.(Nobody wanted it when they could get a "normal" bike cheaper) Maybe that GasGas will be better, but I doubt it.
Oh, and Kawasaki will not release a 2-stroke competition model. They said in Dirt Wheels that they make the KX 80, 125, and 250 motors available to people who want to build a machine like Yokley's. They want to concentrate on a larger market segment, whatever that means.

I'm beginning to think Kawasaki does not give a rats *** about the sport ATV market. Look how long the rumors of a HiPo ATV have been floating around, and still nothing, not a word, just lip service from low level sales reps. But yet the dirt bikes get updated every year (which is true for all of the manufacturers. Tells ya where the money is). They are becoming another Suzuki, competing for the Utility ATV market. I love green bikes, but they are driving a lot of people (including myself) to Honda and Yamaha.
