Default Help for the V-Force

MY riding buddy has a v-force 700, he is all down in the dumps because he doesnt know what to do to get his beast moving faster. The only modds he has is a full yoshi exhaust, a K&n air filter, a pink spring, and the clutch kit. Would taking the airbox off help? What he wants to do is big bore it, but he doesnt really know a whole lot. How big can you go with the V-twin 700 , also what type of powergains would he expect. (yfz-450 fast?) Also does putting new cams in help. ........ Sorry about all the questions, but i all here are his sob storries.

MURDR...

Take a look at the mod's I have on mine. He won't have to dump much more cash into his machine to get it up to par with the YFZ"s. He'll need to open up the airbox by installing another snorkle. Jet it up so that it's making it's Horsepower potential and then get a more agressive primary spring. The pink is good for stock V's but when you start modding, the pink just doesn't measure up.

If you want the FST cdi you need to call Mickey Dunlap phone# (814-842-6159)... Taking the lid off the air box on the KFX700 lets in to much air and usually makes the V force run like crap.... Do what vtwiner said and up grade his spring and open up the air box a little with another snorkel or install a TPI vavle in the air box, I have two on my V..........

Micky Dunlap's Four Stroke Tech has Big Bore kits up to 800cc, and is working on a 900cc kit last I heard. Some of the kits with cams and headwork are making 75 to 100hp.

I am sending you a PM with a web address where your friend can get more information and the answers to all his questions.
