Well the way it goes is if you ride in dirty and dusty areas it better to have a foam airfilter. I have heard the same thing about the K&N airfilter too but i never seemed to have a problem with the K&N filter in my trike. Another reason why i got the twin air is because that's like one of the best foam filter for the lakota. Many top riders and racers around the world use them, because there the best. I also had tryied a moose airfilter in my quad, **** dont get it. The twin air helps out a lot with air flow too make the lakota breath better. But if you ride in the dunes and sand a K&N filter will be better choice, but if you ride in dust, dirt, mud, foam is the way to go. Also they stopped making K&N airfilter for 2003 lakota sport i dont know why?

ok, i think i finally decided what to do for the jet kit and filter. I'll get the k&n jet kit from rockymountain and the twin airfilter and pipe from denniskirk. I think the only diffirence between the powerkit and just the jetkit and filter is that the powerkit comes with a filter-cleaner kit and a pre-filter which i wouldnt need for the twin, anyway and thanks for the info
by the way any other year K&N lakota air filter should fit because the airbox is exactly the same but im not totally shure.

That sounds like a good idea, i wanted to get a k&n jet kit in my quad too but my dealer said that they dont make one for the lakota. They order all their parts out of denniskirk and i check in my denniskirk at home and there is only a moose jet kit in there for the lakota. Anyways i heard good things about moose jet kit so i figured what the hell. K&N jets are still my number one choice. Rockymountain had the k&n like you said. When would be the sonnest time you get the pipe and filter can wait. Also you are right about the airboxes being the same on all lakota's i had posted a question ways back somewhere on here and everyone said that they are the same. But i like the twin air a lot so i went with that. No problem for the info and i hope you like the pipe as much as i do.

Yeah NEWDUCK is right how could they sell a product that does not work, and also k&n filter are really popular and support to be the best performance filter or at least for cars. I have a k&n filter in my trike and it works great. But I still think that the twin air is a better filter for the lakota's and it performs really nice and run smooth. Never had a problem with mine.
