so can I get a new clutch spring and nothing else or is it advised to get the weights and clutch cover etc.?
also I ride allot in the mountains and some inthe dunes i like the stock spring what is comparable to that
I know allot of people are going withe the orange/blue one anyone ride in the monatins that has this mod?
if so how ya like it and what spring ya got?

I've been running the orange/blue spring by itself with no problem. I just installed the Dalton weights, but haven't ridden it yet. The heavier weights should bring the RPMs down a little by accelerating the shift-out.

 

what's the difference between the pink and the orange/blue?

will i see a significant change if I just chang eout the spring?

 

the Pink spring has basically no stall at all. So it is very much like the stock spring on the low end. The Orange/Blue has a fair amount of stall. They both have essentially the same shiftout though. So in otherwords, the orange/blue is like a pink with some stall. The stall will effect rideability a little, but the Orange/blue spring doesnt have quite enough stall to be a problem on tight trails. It comes down to personal preference.

As far as noticeable change goes, we put an EPI bright green (about the same stall as the orange/blue) in my dad's prarie, and it turned it into even more of a wheely machine because of the stall. If you want a little more wheely ability, go with a spring with more stall. Since you have it piped, and once you get the jetting ironed out. Id go with the Orange/blue, thats just from my research. i have never tried one, but that is the spring i'm going to get when i pipe my V. I dont think the stall will be too hard to manage after a little time to get used to it. but again, thats rider preference.

I'm picking my V up this saturday. I have an EPI red spring i'm going to put in it. so i can let you know how that goes

 

what exactly do the springs do? i would hate to have a stall. i ride trails alot and some log roads. minimal drag racing.
