i've seen kfx 400's beat kfx 700's in drags with the same mods

 

how much horsepower do your Kfx 700's put out

 

Obviously you haven't seen a V-force that is clutched right then. No matter what you do to the motor its not going to help until the clutch is set up correctly.
My Raptor now has a White Brothers pipe on it and even with a lighter rider on it my V usually beats it by 4-5 quadlengths in 150 yards.

 

I beat a Z 400 last weekend on my V. We raced a couple of times in a gravel road. Once from a dead stop and once in a moving start. I beat him both times.

 

based on the MSO (Certificate of Origin) 49.4 hp (at the crank). In comparison, my DS 650 is 48.6 hp.

In a race, the DS would win. It's lighter (only slightly) and can rev higher while shifting. Chain drive also makes a difference in acceleration.


But, to go back to the original question, the V would take a 400 in a drag. I would stomp Raptors out of the hole until about 30 mph where the Raptor would catch and pass the V. The 400 class machines, including the EX, Z, KFX, would be about 3 bikes behind in a 300 foot drag.
