I emailed that service update to several people. I also posted it on this site and you may want to do a search on that. Good luck with yours as mine has never been fixed since day one. All I get is a bunch of crap from Kawi saying that if I am not satisfied to take it to another dealer. Well I have taken it to 3 different dealerships and one dealership has had it 3x the other 1x and the other 2x. I am taking it to Bear DE tomorrow as they assured me (like the others did) that they know the problem and how to fix it. My quad is 4.5 months old and has over 700 miles on it now and it runs like crap. Do a search on my posts and you should find the bulletin. I think its 03-04 or something close.

Husky,
Why don't you just fix it yourself? Dealerships are worthless, they could screw up a wet dream. I did mine in 10 min for $20. Mine runs perfect now, it just took a little adjustment after the needle install.

most of us dont know how to adjust carbs, that's why we still have an engine miss. I have had two different needles put in mine and it still misses when its cold. It's not too bad now that its Summer. I just deal with it and let the sucker warm up before taking off. I've got the TSB posted on my site as well. www.allaboutmud.com http://www.allaboutmud.com/modules.p...ewtopic&t=1629

Well I have made several attempts to locate the issue to no avail. As a small engine service tech. I feel I possess the ability to repair this issue if I could locate the problem. I have taken it to many dealers who claim to know what the problem is only to be told they are stumped. I have also taken this unit to members in my club and also to people like yourself who think they know exactly what the problem is only to find that I just drove 3 hours up and back for nothing. No offense on the last but as you can see I have exhausted all my options to this point and I feel that this dealership with the Dyno will hopefully be able to take care of this situation. I work on anything 30hp or less and my business consists of mostly mower, chain saws and after market quads. Thanks again for all your insight!!

Hmmm. Maybe your problem isn't a tuning issue, maybe something is actually broken or wrong on your quad. What exactly is it doing? Lay it on me and be as specific as ou can. I tune turbocharged sports cars, I'm usually pretty good at figuring that type of thing out. If it is a tuning issue I wonder if you have a carb that was built out of spec or something.
