Gas shut off on kfx 400

Default Gas shut off on kfx 400
i was just wandering if there is any way to shut off the gas.
On my 05 there is just on, res, and pri and all those settings let gas flow and it makes it really hard to change jetting.

No man i don't think there is a way to cut it off,because in the owners manual it says to just leave it on or res all the time.Surely someone else knows something about changing the jets.

Leave it on on the peacock is vaccum activated. So if you pull the line off nothing should run out. Put it on prim to fill the float blow after you put it back together

i leave mine on Pri at all times.. even when not riding. doesn't seem to hurt anything.

Like Hugh said, it's vacuum operated. So the gas should not flow when it's in the pri or res setting. If it does flow fuel on these settings w/ the engine off then you probably need to rebuild your petcock.

thats not true i wanted to drain my gas the other day the only way it would drain is on pri that did it and it didnt have to be running

PRI is for diagnostic purposes only, you should not be running your machine in that setting at all. I'm sure it says that in the owners manual.

It just stays ON all the time.

That's exacally whay I said. The only time the engine has vaccum is when it is running so that the only time it will run out of res or on
