Default need help deciding fast!! BF750 or prairie 700

i know that this has probably been brought up a million times but i really need some advice on my near future purchase. right now i have an 02 prairie 650 and im ready to upgrade in the power department. does the p700 have really any noticable power gain over the 650? the ONLY reason i am considering the Bf 750 is for the power but i like the way my old p650 handles. i like the looks of the Bf750 way better. Is the Bf really THAT tipsy or is it bareble? ive read alot of problems w/ the Bf750 on here, but then again people were talking about the probles they were having w/ the old p650 when it first came out too, but ive really not had that many problems w/ mine. I must have got a good one.

If you like power sliding then the 750 is not the machine for you. My good friend has a 750 and I can't get his bike to powerslide even in wet slippery mud trails. He sits behind me and wishes he could but it is not in the cards with a IRS bike.

Power wise the BF kills my 700 but I heard the 700 rocks the 650. Very hard choice. In Canada the 700 comes with 3 years of warrenty for free plus the Warn 2500# winch.

I like the 700 but if power makes the difference the BF is the bike to look at.

Good luck

Can't help you a whole lot, but with my P 700 I do have a noticeable power advantage over STOCK 650's, however with a Dyna and exhaust the 650 with easily beat me. I would also have to say what type of riding are you doing, I mostly ride fast trails and have ridden a couple of IRS quads and are not the fun that my SRA quad is. They seem to have a little more body lean, more effort required to keep them stable. Just my 2

I was in the same situation last month.

I am a power freak, so I now own a 750. I didnt ride the P700, I just went off of what I read, and I knew I would probably be happy with the 700.

I rode a Vinson for 2 years before switching to the BF, and I can honestly say, It doesnt feel much more tippy than the Vinson did.
It does lean more when on side hills, but I have never had it actually go over. I run with my suspension on the highest level, so the springs dont give as much anyway. I dont 3 wheel near as much as I use to on the SRA either.

The last right we had an old 600 Griz, and a suzuki Eiger, and myself. We were headed down a very steep hill, and had to make a 90 degree turn halfway down. The 2 other guys, had just has much trouble as I did, two wheels off the ground on the side hill. They were really suprised how it handled the angle.

Now, as far as handling, once again, not as good as a SRA quad, but not bad. I can say, I have read most of what people say on here, and dont think its what people make it out to be. Lots of people will tell you its the worst handling quad, but that's not true at all.

As far as sliding, I have never had trouble sliding it, just give it gas and the back end breaks loose at will. I can pull donuts just as easy as I did with the Vinson.

Power is the big thing I bought the BF for, and of course it has plenty. I have to tell people not to take it past half throttle lol. A lot of people dont know how much powe this thing has till they lay it on the back rack.

You cant really go wrong with either machine. The selling point was the price, I got a great price through A+B.

I went up to the BF750 too from the P650, no ill feelings toward my choice.
The tippy is just a feeling, nothing more but that feeling can be corrected with a set of aftermarket wheels & better tires.
Powerslides I can do on my BF but it just takes a little bit more effort on my part but again I think the Tires I am now using hurt me in the powersliding. Once I switch over to a set of the ATR's, powersliding will improve.
Comfy is the word on the BF IRS, much needed improvement over the harsher ride Prairies, IMO.

I have spent some time on my fathers BF750 and its not near as much fun to ride as the Prairie's IMO. I have a buddy that also bought a BF750 and later traded back to the dealer for a Prairie. Now he just wishes he had all the money lost back. Other than that he his very happy he traded back to the prairie. He likes to powerslide and play like many of us do and the BF750i just not very good at that sort of thing IMO.

The SRA Prairie will powerslide easier, I'm not saying it doesn't.
The IRS BF is set-up for the IRS duties, so if powersliding is your 1st & main priority over comfort & additional ground clearance then stick with the SRA Prairie.

i have owned a 2003 irs arctic cat and i like the sra better its more fun all around.
the only thing i liked better is the ride and the gc.
but i stand up alot when i ride. (its a dirt bike thing)
so comfort dosent matter.
and gc is not an issue with me.
and as for the three year warrenty kawasaki stoped that with the 05s.
its now 6 months like the rest.
i know this because my buddy is trading in his 04 650 cat on another 700 prarie.
thats rite he got his first 700 in feb after he tryed mine out for a while.
and now hes getting a second one.
and the 05 only has 6 months warrenty.
if you do alot of hill climbing and tight trail riding you will get more fun from the sra but if you just cruise the back roads and the odd trail then you might go for the irs.
in my opinion you cant loose with eather.
but i do think the p 700 is more fun.
juts because you can power slide it any time you wish.
and at almost any speed.
my motor is stock and i have 28" mud zillas on it and the 700 spins them like there stock and i can still get over 60 mph out of it.
