Holy cow....We had a very similar thing happen at Hatfield/McCoy 3 years ago on our first trip there,my buddy had traded off with another guy and this guy was not used to this machine. It was a Grizz 600.We did get it out barely but it was a goner.Ins did pay for it.
What was wrong with the KQ?...I did not see it anywhere in the thread...if it's there sorry.
I really thought I wanted one of those but man I seem to read one thing after another about issues with them....

Better hope someone gets it, because if the forest service recovers it and traces the serial number back to the owner, he will get a large bill for it. I was in that area the middle of July and a new Paris/Dakar BMW was setting at the bottom of the Alpine Tunnel Road which is not far from White pine.

cc1999,

My buddies and I looked for you up around White Pine and Pitkin last weekend, but didn't see you (I was riding a Polaris Scrambler 500 and a green Arctic Cat DVX400 at different times). We were up in White Pine when of my buddie's engine blew (pretty new Yamaha 400 dirt bike), so we ended up towing him back to camp above Pitkin from White Pine. This kept us from looking around in White Pine for very long. I wonder if someone here on the forum found your BF750, or if it was found by a stranger?

Lorrin
