Default Long range ride

Some buddies of mine asked me to go ona three day 150 - 200 mile a day ride out of Montreal in a month. I am weary of that kind of ride as it will be a 500 mile loop, is the a prairie up to that kind of long distance stuff. I have had my machine for close to a year and only put 400 miles on it so far.

I would think filter and all fluids would need to be changed prior to a ride like that, but I am a little concerned with my 4x4 and KBEC as they both make a little noise. I would bring my stock CDI and maybe a auxilary fuel tank and maybe electric hand warmers..

If anyone has any experience on this kind of a sub zero winter ride please let me know.

We ride all winter, in all weather. 100 miles a day. The Prairie will be fine, the rider will have a harder time than the Machine

Dude, its a kawasaki, no fret. Just use low gear when you are supposed so you dont fry a belt and have fun riding that reliable atv

It will make it no problem.

Your prairie is good for 50 miles of moderate hard riding and 80 miles of easy riding before fuel. If you are going on way you need fuel.

When stopping just clean out around radiator all the snow.

Change all fluids before leaving.

150-200 miles a day in snow, you will be very very worn out at days end.

Ride On !

i'd suggest going to a high quality synthetic oil in the weight suggested in the owners manual (for the expected temps). make sure the battery is in good shape. these things will make starting a lot easier in sub-zero weather.

ah don't worry about your bike man bring a couple extra belts and some oil. me and my friend went on a trip and nothing went wrong also! watch out when you are passing over frozen creeks i got f*cked over in that because it was all clay under the ice also make sure your winch is in good working order because you'll never know when you'll need it and have fun
