Default where to begin...

i just bought an orange '04 kfx400 for 2300.00 - it belonged to a friend of mine who put roughly 10 hours on it. he moved out of town and needed money, and less baggage for the move. its my first quad, i've had dirtbikes in the past- i'm addicted already. i've never been much of a fan of kawasaki or suzuki but for the money i couldnt pass it up. its bone stock and in need of some mods but that'll come as i get more money.... what do you guys suggest as a starting point? i'm thinking probably exhaust maybe???

btw, thanks middleaged

exhaust, new air filter (you can modify your air intake to your budget) Re-Jet or betteryet install a dial-a-jet . Then if you want more get new cams adjust your sprocket counts accourding to your riding style nerf bars are a must front bumper and a grab bacr would be a good idea along with a rekluse clutch and evenualy new axles and shocks. There I didnt just tell you where to start I even told you how to finnish. Anywho thats the way I would go if I were building as 400 and if you want you could bore it over too.
