Prairie 03 360 4x4 belt
Well, I just ended up replacing the belt on my new Prairie 07 360 4x4 . I've been really good with it , always using low when any load is on or slow heavy trail riding...but I let my brother ride it a few days ago for a couple of minutes out in the swampy back 40. I did specifically tell him about not lugging the tranny when in high setting, but he must have. I took a ride on it and immediatley there was a soft clacking noise from the clutch area. I brought it in since it was still under warranty thinking that the last possible thing that was wrong with it was a 'wear' condition what with only 90km on it. So $180 dollars later I've got my bike back....and the noise is gone but the belt that is damaged....I cannot see a score or rub on it! Very fussy part of the unit.
Seems like low tranny is more than just a little important....I've done nothing heavy at all with it and it's under 100km. It is possible that my brother lugged it in high tranny mode though.

My 360 would do the same thing but if I shut it off and waited about 10 sec. then restarted it the blinking would go away. It did this for about two months and over time it went away on its own.

Prairie 03 360 4x4 belt
I have and 05 and she became 2 at Chrsitmas, I am still on my original belt...lots of mudding, hill climbing and rough riding....
Only use low when slow creeping down hill or when I really, really need it (pulling out bigger quads... )...also with the snow plowing too...
seems to holding up well. Just was in very dealer service and they had to adjust something with the actuator? bike would not start witht his problem though...keep it in mind...it was acting up and fouling off plug, kind of like when your in reverse without the over ride button pushed....
