Hey yall, I was super pissed to learn that I was going to have to pay boku bucks for a new belt. I ordered an after market belt from CABELAS.COM for $27.00!!! Its a DAYCO belt and works flippen great!!! Was at my house in less then a week! Changed it myself quite easily.

I bought a Dayco belt for my 360 shortly after I got the machine. It has performed perfectly just riding around in the rear box as the spare everyone was telling me I would need shortly. So far no belt problems at all and this speedometer, the second one, has something over 800 miles on it now. Bike was about a year old when the first speedo was put in and when it got broken it had about 1000 miles on it. Service manual had instructions for resetting the belt light. Manual was way cheaper than having the dealer do the work.

Is there a special tool needed to adjust or replace my belt on my bf750 or is the dealer lying to me?

for replacing the belt, you need a primary clutch puller. For adjust if it's still out of whack, you need a few more tools. So no he didn't lie, but he probably also didn't tell you that you can buy all the tools online for about 50 bux

Yes there are specail tools to work on the driven clutch and need a puller to get the drive clutch off. You need these tools to work on all the Kawi belt drives

if you do it right you dont need any tool to get your new belt on execpt a 10mm socket to take off your cover.Just open your 2nd clutch and pull belt out, replace it the same way.
