What you see is right. The arrow and the word "UPPER" (not UP) should coincide each other, meaning that:
If arrow is pointing up, the word "UPPER" reads upside up.
If arrow is pointing dow, the word "UPPER" reads upside down.

For the engine to start/run, the arrow should point UP.

If the sensor is either malfunctioning or upside down (or tilted more than 55 deg), it will cut out ignition AND fuel to the engine.

Here is what you need to check:
1. Check input voltage to the sensor and it sould be more than 4.75 VDC at
LB and BR/W wires.
2. Check output voltage (with the sensor upside up) and it sould be less than 1.4 VDC at Y/G and BR/BK wires.

Above voltage checks should be done with:
1. Ignition key at ON position.
2. Sensor to Harness connectors connected.

Thumbs up

I found out the hard way was saving energie on Lihgts never saw the arrow and the logical way was to put it in with the connector facing backwards but then it was upside down and it took me some while to figure that out because of the pour light conditions

LOL

now it starts fine
