I purchased a Kawi Mule 4010 in need of many parts, ECU and cover, fuel pump, complete injection system with injectors and now i find out that the motor is bad. I need to find some good used parts to salvage this thing. I also found out that there is water, or possibly coolant that got into the cylinders and rusted, any ideas what would cause this? It is in both cylinders so would this be the water pump? I am also curious to find out if I pull the motor will it leak gear oil out of the tranny?
I will also entertain the purchase of a donor unit of the same year and type.

Judging by the number of Petrol (Gasoline) Mules seen on eBay with "engine problems" you are not alone. There used to be an aftermarket kit to convert them to the much more reliable Diesel engine, don't know if it is still available.
