Mudbugs on 650

Thanks LEP7MM, but according to Highlifter, the Gators are 2 lbs heavier. I would rather get gators, but I don't see a 27x8 available. I would think the gators would ride a bit better, being they have a center lug. I'll keep searching around.
BTW, I hope you had fun at the cabin.

Tires are a complicated subject.
Has anybody tried one of those ATV tire changers that are for sale on ebay and www.harborfreight.com?

They cost around $27 at harborfreight and if they work, would be a whole lot mmore convenient than taking wheels to the dealer.

nyroc, I have that tire changer from harbor freight. It was a big waste of money. I tried it on several different tires and it does not work. The vertical mount bends before the tire bead breaks. I've heard that there are some good tire changers out there, but this isn't one of them.
What I do is I got to a local auto tire shop and they change the tires no problem. Usually only a couple dollars.

Roofer,
I checked the HL site again and I was looking at the 26x10x12 gators. They list at 22.7 lbs for the Gators and the Bugs are 24.4 lbs. I didn't check to see if the Bugs are available in something in the 8-9 inch width. You could always mix and match if they do. I had a great time at the cabin. It's good to get away from the daily routine including the wife and kids and live in the sticks for a weekend. Hopefully I didn't drive your dad crazy. LOL!
