I have probably about 1500 miles on my 650 (display quit working easter) and I am on my third belt. What happened to all of mine is water, which I have taken care of. I got EPI springs in the tranny now and I can pull wheelies in low range with 28" Outlaws on. When I had stockers on I could do wheelies like mad in hi/low without the springs.

 

I had to replace the belt at 1000 miles at $130.00ea. I am somewhat diapointed at having to do this at such a low mileage! The price of this belt is outrageous I think especially of it's poor life expectancy! .....MJSTX

 

After a few more months, the Gates belt should be available. I wanted to see if my first belt will last long enough to wait for the gates belt.

I may have to get the kawi belt, since mine is loose still with no shims (top speed is diminishing). I get a squawk every now and then.
