epi clutch springs?????????
#2
I just put the black EPI spring in the driven clutch, bye bye belt squak. But the power is still as smooth as when it was new. If you want the power to come in harder then you have to change the drive clutch spring. This will change the engagement point for the clutch. EPI makes 2 I belive, a red and a yellow. I think the yellow is more aggressive.
Check with some people on this forum, some have bought the drive clutch springs and took them back out because they didn't like the power delivery.

I have a little belt squak when it is sitting there ideling in gear it goes away when it is put in nuetral. I also removed the shim and am running no shims at all. But it takes off a lot better and you don't have any lag the take of is great.

It seems to have a little more throttle response, it accelerates better when you are already at speed. Around 25-45 it accelerates real well. I lost about 4 mph. From 68 to 64, I had 70 until I put the 589's on the rear.
