termis, the way i ride, is a lot is in high gear. the only time i put it in low is pulling someone out, climbing really steep knarly hills, or going thru really thick brush. oh also creeping thru hilly rocky terrian.

cool that makes me feel better. thats what i'd planned on doing. you always drive cars in the overdrive position except for hills and stuff like that; so the same can go for our big, bad, prarie's!!! well gotta go break it in some more! he! he! he! later buddy!

When I went out to buy my first quad last year, I went to a local dealer that sells Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. Some guys I know own Rubicons and I walked into that dealer with my money in hand and said I'll take the yellow Rubicon.Fortunatly for me the salesman took some time to show me the Prairie 650, and I took her home with me. Now when I go riding with the rubicon guys I can't stop smiling. They even agree that I made the right choice.

I have never owned either, but have ridden both.
Honda TRX 300 4X4, you cant kill em, and won't be stranded due to electrical probs
Honda TRX 250 R. After 15 years, the're finally comming out with things that can compete.
I too love my 650, but hats off to the simple no-frills, bullet-proof quads.

My 2cents here..I would be VERY carefull about riding above 30 or so till the initial breakin is done..anither fella in here raced a pull-aris the day hey got it and said it didnt have nearly the power afterward as it did before

actually when i went the other day to get my 650; i had had no intention of even looking cross-eyed at anything other than a Raptor or a Grizz. but i soon realized that the Raptor is just not very practical for regular guys on farms. no offense to those who have Raptor's and can use their full potential. i could use the low end power; and i also bought a plow for it, and will be getting a brush-hog for it sometime. so i went for the Grizz; and the salesman did the same "could you just look at the prarie?" so i test drove both and to keep it short: "THE ADVANTAGE-CAMO PRARIE 650" ate the Grizzly up!!! later dudes!
