Prairie 650 - What tires are best for gncc type riding?
I have my Prairie completely set up as an XC racer. I run the maxxis all tracs. You just dont get better sport hanlding then them. The Holeshot ATR's aint bad either but they weigh more than the All Tracs so you lose a little more power. Plus the All Tracs are alot cheaper. I would say all tracs.

The holeshot ATR's weigh 20lbs for fronts and 23lbs for the rear. All Tracs weigh 18lbs in front and 21lbs for the rear. These are real weights not what is quoted on any site. My buddy put the ATR's on his p650 and i have the All tracs on mine. They handle the same work about the same but the All tracs dig better in mud and dont suck as much power. The advantage of the ATR's is they stear easier then the all tracs. Not by much but there is a difference. And the ATR's are 6 ply not 2ply like the All Tracs. The real decider between both of these great tires is ply rating or mud rating as the weight difference isnt that huge. Also the all tracs are $210 for 4 tires and the ATR's are about $280. So the rest is up to you to decide.

18.9 for the front all trak(almost 19) and 21.8 rear(almost 22) about 1 pound per tire less than ATR. 4 pounds total. All I can say is Radial radial radial. How many cars are running around on bias ply tires? Answer:None. Next year at this time the bias ply atv tire will be a collectors item.
