Read your manual. It states to not go over half throttle for the first 10 hours. Your dealer may have differing opinions from Kawasaki, but Kawasaki made the things. My dealer told me the same thing as Kawasaki except they said AT LEAST go one tankful before going over 1/2 throttle. And they stressed that over and over again and they were pretty adament about it. I would rather be safe than sorry.

Howdy,
don't worry about that half throttle. I ran mine like I would ride it for the rest of its life. That was over a year & a half ago. It has never been in the shop and it has really been through heck!! Just enjoy it & get some good tires. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!

For the misfiring at low speeds it is probably the pilot fuel screw adjustment. Even though you are still warm there go ahead and first verify that they are set properly. Do the following with the quad engine off. Turn the pilot screws all the way in until they stop. ( they are on the right side of the carbs Do this gently. Count how far you had to turn in. You should have turned in 2 1/4 turns. That is stock. Then back them out about 2 1/2 turns if they were correct. If they were not correct then put them at 2 1/4 turns out and see what happens. As far as idle on choke. The only way I found to do it is to reach down with your right hand before you start the machine and turn up the idle. Start it then leave it. When you are ready to ride, or it's warm, turn idle back to normal. You are ready to rock now.
