My problem was indeed the bearing in the clutch cover. I purchased the entire clutch cover and then decided to try and remove the bearing in the old one and replace it. I was able to press out the bearing and the old flange inside the bearing. I replaced it with a SKF 61907-2RZ German made bearing. I don't remember the cost but it was around $20 I think. Oddly enough I still have the cover in the wrapper in the garage. Bearing is still working fine almost three years later. Hope this helps.

 

where did you get this bearing??? and I assume it has the metal seal covering also. or does that come seperate????

 

I saw some on ebay. There are 3 covers though so it makes it difficult to buy the right bearing without taking it into the dealer and having it measured.
