removed the needle spacers and found it to be too lean and put them back. removed red spring did not change (only engagement) noticed belt is only going up drive pully to within 9/16" of the top of the pully, should it go to the top?

The belt should be sticking up above the top of the driven clutch, an 1/8th of an inch or so. You will probably need to turn the driven clutch around by hand several times to get the belt all the way to the top.

Hey disme who's starts off quicker? It could be the bigger tires he has that means more top speed less acceleration & it is the direct opposite 4 small tires

Alltoys,
I didn't know you could use the same belt for the 650 as the 360. Is it any cheaper? Anything different about installing or belt deflection?

Both bikes take off about the same then he pulls ahead of me. Using my gps he only has .5-1mph top end advantage on me. He also has the heaver and larger tires.

Haynes,
You can use the 360 belt on the 650 as for the 650 belt on the 360 I wouldn't think so. The belt for the 360 is slightly wider than the 650's combined with the black EPI spring has a better hold on the belt and some say they get more speed as the belt will sit higher on the front drive sheaves.
