I installed the new 4x14mm today and they fit perfectly. The stock screws were exactly the same thread length. My opinion is that you should stay away from the shorter screws. Because of the soft metal of the carb, you need all of the purchase you can get before they start to tighten up. If the screw is too short, you won't have enough threads engaged to prevent stripping. You may get away with it a few times, but eventually the threads in the carb will strip.

I have the remander of a box of 100 4x14mm (only way I could get that size), so email me if you want to buy a set of 9.

The Kawi P400 Gel Seat cover fits just fine. I couldn't use one of the two straps, but it seems pretty secure anyway. For $10 it was worth a try.
