They quoted $825 for the stainless. They must have been quoting me for the single system. Looks like i am ordering HMF unless some one else comes out soon with one that is about the same price.

I can see why they dont want to dyno the thing because belt drives dont show an accurate HP reading on the dyno but your sure right it would be nice to see the difference as to compare to others.

The dyno should be done in the primary clutch. Just slip off the primary and the dyno connects right on to the PTO coming off the crank.
There are track dynos available for sleds to monitor clutching changes so connecting a dyno to the rear wheels of the V Force should not be an issue at all.

your right, the right way to dyno is from the crank.
As far as the dyno for the sleds, your comparing apples to apples, all sleds have same setups, basically.
As far as dynoing ATV's, an auto to a standard, the standards are usually dyno in forth gear and there is no way of getting an auto to a certain gear, so it isn't apples to apples, but it is a sure way of telling if there is a HP gain over stock exhaust.

I have had no experiance dynoing standards at all. But as we both know you can tell any HP changes at the crank. So my question is ...
If we know that the bike makes say 50 hp at the crank at best and the RPM is 7800 . When piped, it makes 57 hp at say 8000 rpm.( for arguements sake).
With this in mind, we then hook up the rear axle to the dyno, with the pipes installed , run it up to 8000 RPM and take a HP reading. from the axle.
We then use this HP reading with RPM = 8000 then start our clutch mods. If the HP goes up We are working in the right direction.

your totally right,
My explantation was more for the people that think that you can put a v700 on a dyno and compare those numbers to the numbers of a standard. Not the same, unless taken at the crank.
For evaluation of pipes, HP increases, that is the way to go.
I know all v700 owners understand this, not sure that the people that just look at the dyno numbers that come off the axle do.

They are polaris guys but he said they loved that 700 they got.. He is sending me a pro kit friday, so I cant wait to get it in. Everything we get from them is top notch, and he said if i think it wheelies now, just wait. Its a whole new machine.
