does anyone have any suggestions on how to get more travel out of the rear shock? is there another shock that you can bolt on to it that has more travel? i saw somebody saying they saw something like that in here but could not find it. also i set upmy daughters lt with the jl 3"extenders on the front with works. i'm in the process of getting her the wider a-arms, does anybody know if they leave the shock mounts in the same spot.

Most have the shock location in the stock position. I'd want to ask before I purchased them tho.
The JL extenders are OK. To go to a-arms won't make much if any difference.
This year will bring new and exciting suspension goodies for the LT80. I'd wait.

As far as shocks: you could switch stock w/other company's stock and after much hair pulling, you will come to the conclusion that you should have bought PEP or Works shocks to begin with.

Hi there, my daughter has +3 a arms on here race quad and works shocks all the way around! I just sent them back in December to get revalved and put the stock shocks back on so yes they are the same location for it didnt change the camber on the wheels from the different shocks so the stock and +3 a arms are the same! They work great as well! Check with LT80 he mentioned something about making some!

has any manufacture ever thought of lowering the shock mount to make a long-travel style of a-arms? would this allow you to install a longer shock to get more travel? also someone told me to try and cut or remove the rubber stop in the shock to give it more travel, has anyone tried this??? thanks for all the help

There is no rubber stop on a LT80 shock (stock).
Aftermarket shocks can get you 3-4" of travel.
Any more than that and the frame hits the ground anyways.

i have the old style works shocks, they don't have that much travel, they have thr short springs. i saw a new set and the springs are longer, it looks like the ting that tightens or loosens the spring is reversed

Ok. So where can i get a set of Shocks? I put the JL extensions on my sons. I doubt he will ever race it. But, It bottoms out on any type of jump. And how much does a set run?
Thanks Jerry
