Default frames holding up???

For MX how are your frames, swing arms, ect. holding up. we got my son a monsoon 3 years ago and when he started jumping it, things started happening. oil tank brace, upper frame by shock broke. seat would not stay latched. grant it we we on the stock susp. we prob. wouldnt have this prob. if we had works susp. or somthing. this quad is a 2000 model have the bikes improved? Im thinking of picking up another copy cat 90 and bulild it up for mx for him. but he is got to be 85-90lbs now I just wonering if they have changed or are the some ol' frame. might not be a bad idea to put some gussets in some high stress points to. also does the quality in these bike very from brand to brand ??

thanks
Sam
