LT80 belt keeps breaking

Hi there
Wonder if you can help bought an alegedly 2004 lt 80 quad from blacks bike shop in the uk invoice is dated 11/02/2005 seemed ok then about a week ago it lost drive , the cvt belt had snapped contacted the shop who said it was my prob as this is a consumable any way got another gen suzuki belt replaced it after reading up on your forum and it went for a day or so but has snapped again has anyone got any ideas as i am not spending another £40 on a belt for it to snap in a few hours use. The 1st belt that snapped didnt look all that worn so assume there is another problem.

You are correct, there is another problem. Belts last for years, they just do not break.
I would start with making sure the clutchs are OK. I suspect the problem is in the rear clutch. The rear clutch may not be sliding properly.
Does the bike roll OK??
I'd have this machine back to the dealer in a heart beat. It sounds like you have a poor dealer. He should have gave you instructions on things to look for.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

I would start with making sure the clutchs are OK. I suspect the problem is in the rear clutch. The rear clutch may not be sliding properly.

Anyway enough of this must move on , i bought a 2004 yamaha breeze from ATV services so i hope i have more luck with this
