LT80 Jetting with CT pipe
Another jetting questions.....
I'm running a CT pipe on a stock LT, and trying to get the jetting dialed in.
ggggggrrrrrrrr.
Runs's pretty good right now with the 87.5 main, but does anybody else have
any ideas, or run different jetting with the same pipe.
Thanks a Bunch

Bump...Bump...Bumpity bump......
Anybody have any ideas....
I'm not to good with the whole jetting thing yet, as far as recoginizing if I should go up/down/sideways, etc.
Just looking for maybe a starting point or somebody with a CT pipe.
The CT pipe definately compliments the stock motor, added a bit of zip to it.....

How's the plug color?
Is it doing something weird that would cause concern?

No concern, you know me, I just don't know much about that end yet.
Just want to make sure I'm not way off or something.
I just need to get the holeshot back though also.
Good throttle response once under way, just little to sluggish off the line and coming out of the corners.
My youngest daughter is in a good battle with another girl for 1st/2nd in the series with only 2 races left.
Other girl rides a new KFX80 that is stock except a FMF pipe and 20mm carb, and she's quicker off the line and out of the corners.....ggggggggrrrrrrrrr
(It's only a close battle now because my daughter (9 y/o) wouldn't race the last race and the other girl gained 20 points closer to her. I hurt my back race day and had to go to the hospital and she really really wanted to go with me. No way I wanted to make her stay there, family first. Bless her heart, but now she's only ahead by 11 points with 2 races left. Shouldn't be a problem for her to stay ahead, but will make for some fun last 2 races, that's what it's all about )

hi sean ,your to funny, nathons stocker has a 95 so your close, try running it without the air filter just to make sure your not starving for air,and start with air screw out 1 1/2 no more than 2, iv toned all team hillbillies quads and air filters have been the problem with two of them , size and type,

Hey there mister
You said your air filter work did some good, seemed to run better
I've got the Uni-Filter on Hayleys already, maybe I need to drill some holes for more air.
There is no air screw on those stock carbs.........
I do need to try the can like you talked about.
I think the real issue is moslty clutch, that's why no holeshot and sluggish on the bottom.
May need to lighten up the rear clutch or something............
Haven't done anything since last race with my back so bad.
Not sure if I showed you how the top gasket was blown out, those that looked at it said they'd never seen one blow out that way. Sucked in some debris and scratched the cylinder and piston up.
But going to go get Ashley's new Piston kit today and get it bored, hopefully running by this weekend..
But I seem to say that a lot about that quad....So we'll see..........
Just gotta get it going good by the PR series, that's the goal..................

Backs doing better, still really sore and stiff. We'll see how it goes..
Thanks for asking.
I did see Nathon's race. Kids doing great.
I'll be curious to see what classes they have at PR.
I gotta get Ash's set up to at least give him a run for his money
oh crud, gotta run to e-bay, I'll be back and add more
EDIT:
I'm back, just won the bid for a "almost mint" (we'll see) New hood for Ashleys quad.
Should look better than the orange one I tried to paint.
OK, maybe my severe lack of knowledge, but on the stock LT80 carb I can just adjust the idle.
But on the 20mm carb I can adjust the air mix and the idle.
Heck, I don't know......
You know me, I'm still trying to learn
I just need to play and figure out the right setup for the rear clutch. When back gets better, I'll try to play with it some more.
I definately need more zip on the bottom end......
See Ya this weekend
