My choke will not move up and down. I tried to take it off and the cap came off and the nut and spring underneath. According to my manual there should be some more parts that come out. Any one have any great tips on removing these?

Ok, nut and spring...On the bottom of the spring there should be a lil metal cap. It should be attached.
If that's all okey dokey then that's all that should come out.

The spring came out but there was nothing attached to it. The post has no movement. Should it move up and down?

Yes it should move up and down.
What's holding the spring on?
Does it look like the pic at the site/fiche above?

 

The spring is just in there loose. The cap came off the top and then the nut and spring came out. Will I damage anything if I poke around in there to try to get the other piece out?
