If any of you guys find one that works, please pass that info on. I’m on my 3rd CDI BOX and no luck. Hanged the wire configuration a few times and nada

 

Sorry guys, no luck here. Ordered the cdi, it won’t run with it. I tried to contact hetrick racing a few times, to see if maybe they had any experience with the kfx, but never was able to speak to anyone. Honestly at this point my daughter is about ready for a bigger machine, so might just leave it alone and start trying to decide between a trx or raptor 90

 

Why is it you buy a super slow machine then think it'll go much faster with goodies.
Now if you had a 50cc apex or DRR, you could make it go.
Please Get the right size machine for the riders physical size.

 

Why is it people comment with no help only negative comments.
My kid was 5 when he got this. First gas powered machine. And I’m going to buy him an Apex??😂😂

 

First off, my daughter was 5, so yessir I did buy her the appropriate size, and she wasn’t there to test it out for top speed when I picked it up at the dealership. And you gonna tell me you ain’t done any mods to an apex or drr to make something better?? Coming in here to run your mouth, cause you don’t have any knowledge to help. **** off✌🏻

 

I gave a honest opinion, that you took negatively.
An Apex 50 can be as slow or fast as you want it.
4-6 year olds race them at the nationals.
The Kymco 50 is a very dependable machine. Just don't go too fast.

 

I agree with LT80, so much information on how to make a machine that is never meant to be fast, faster. If you want a racing 50 it is far better to start with one, and leave the Kymco for the beginners it was made to serve.

 

The Apex 50 starts at 4200. The kymco was 2000 out the door for me. People have been trying to make slow cars go fast forever and it's not like the kymco is unable to... It's just neutered.

I'm just looking to get it up to 20mph max, not race it...

 

My point to the race thing was to point out that the apex fit the small riders.

 

What all did you do to make your son's go that fast I'm trying myself right now.?
