What cheap quad should I get???
#1
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'll go again. Need a quad for my son's 6th birthday. He's a big boy (tall). Any suggestions?
found theses:
http://www.bestpriceatvs.com/p...=16145&cat=248&page=1
for $565 out the door (???)
or this one for $416 out the door:
http://www.globalpowersports.org/
Is the first one that's bigger wroth the extra 150 bucks?
Any other suggestions?

I have heard that you will want one with front brakes. Nether of the ones you show have front brakes. Might look at these. They have the same body style as you showed, but have front brakes. About the same in price. They have some other kid ATV's too. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum AUradar!
I would also reccomend getting a quad with front brakes. If your great with a wrench you can buy from just about anyone. If not I would buy from RaceWayATV or from Kids ATV's. Both advertise at this site and either one of them would be happy to help you with your decision.

If they hold up to this. I think they should hold up to kids.

The bigger one will last him longer. Remember he will grow quickly! I highly recommend getting one without the alarm or remote start. I had problems with mine and had to yank it out. This required some rewiring. If you don't have the tech skills for this, you may be in trouble.

Watching those 110 quads, those things are actually moving pretty darn fast. My daughter's Kazuma 90 will only top out at about 16-18 mph, and I've already adjusted the limiter screw to let it go wide open. Is this a normal speed for the little 90? Seems really slow compared to those 110's.

I believe the last video above, when they were draging down the street, the smaller unit is a 70 or 90cc engine. It has been warmed up some though. You would have to read through all the comments listed on the youtube sight. If a 110 is pulling a full size person around that well I would think a 90cc should pull a child pretty good...
