Default New ata-125D Problems

I got a new 125-D shipped to me yesterday. Upon putting it all together and changing the oil it started right away and ran great. I was able to shift it into reverse, however once I went into drive it will not come back out. Also it has the Yun Ba remote start that doesnt seem to work at all. I am unable to get in touch with the powersports company I boutht it from. There also was not a manual to look through. Is there something I am missing? Is there some safety feature that has locked this down?

Sometimes you have to 'rock' them back forth a little. Sometimes they are just a little 'tight' and need to be broken in.

OR,

On some of them - on the right side of the engine case (4" to 5" from bottom) there might be a 'lock-nut' with a slotted screw inside (might be covered by an oval 'nameplate' held on with 4 small bolts). Loosen the 'locknut' a little - 1/2 to 3/4 turn - then turn the slotted screw about 1/4 turn counter clockwise - hold in this position with screw driver and re-tighten the nut back down. This is the 'clutch release' adjustment. when you 'move the shift lever' - it also activates the 'clutch release' at the same time.

ok. I have located the clutch release screw and that didnt work. I even tried up to a couple full turns (returned it back to where it was). I drove it around for a bit in reverse and it did shift back to forward, but now its stuck in forward again. Any ideas? My son is really bugging me to let him drive his new quad.

Thanks so much in advance!!!!!!!

Default Tao tao atv 125 d oil changing

Man I'm desperate for help. I got this thing with no manual and would like to change the oil but damned if I can clearly figure it out. I see two silver caps on the left side, took both off but appears to be windings' etc so I'm sure that is not the place to put oil! So...where is the drain plug (s), and where is the filler hole? I've heard several mention a dipstick but do not see one. Can some kind soul help me out? I need to get this thing running for my daughter who use this thing to exercise their goats and lambs for FFA...so I'm falling behind on our schedule! HELP!!

Update: Figured out the oil. DIpstick was hidden by the plastic body part on right foot rest.

Now...what about the transmission oil change? Is the drain plug on the other side of the crank case on the left side opposite the engine oil drain? There is one at a slight angle. Is there a place for it to be added and how much does it take?

These (and almost all quads and Japense motorcycles) share the transmission fluid with the motor.....ie one fill location, one drain location and they use the same source. If its got the correct amount and type of motor oil your good to go.....
