HELP New Panther 110 leaking gas from everywhere
#1
OK I am not much of a mechanic at all. Just bought my kids a Panther 110cc for Christmas, well I put it together. charged the battery, finally put some gas in it and looked under it and gas was running everywhere, it was coming from the hose on the bottom of the carb, coming out the air filter and coming from that needle thing on the left side (right by the metal choke) What is causing this? Please help I need to have this ready as Christmas is 2 days away.

Welcome to the forums.
It may be comming from the bowl drain (if it has one) if so, there is a screw to tighten.
If not, Remove carb and clean. Paying special attn to the float needle/seat.

I can see the places it is coming from, it is coming out of the overflow hose? on the rear bottom of the bowl. Also coming out of the needle looking thing sticking out the left side of the carb (to the left of the main gas inlet) and coming out of the air filter. It is just flooding the carb I guess. Is this common on one that is brand new that hasnt been started yet?

OK I put some more fuel in it and it isnt pouring out every hole the carb has anymore. Do you reckon it could have been the Gel that I read is put in the carbs for shipping was just cold and the gas didnt disolve it fast enough and caused the fuel to overflow out the airfilter, overflow tube etc...?
Now I didnt put much fuel in it this second time as I didnt want to waste much more if it was leaking. But I wanted to start it which I still havent got to do yet, I keep killing the battery before it starts. But will get to that tomorrow.

Stuck float valves seem to be a common problem on 110cc machines. Make sure the leaking fuel hasn't gotten into the crankcase oil. Smell the dipstick. Don't try to start the quad with diluted oil.

Well just a update, I guess it was the Gel in there or something, cause it never leaked anymore and I got it running this morning after I changed the oil. So all is good. Thanks everyone.
