Buying a 2001 LT80 - what to look for?

Well I'm glad I passed on that worn out LT80. I found a really clean and well taken care of KFX80 that I picked up for only $300 more. KFX 80

Once my son gets use to riding it I plan on doing the following:
-12/26 gearing with #40 chain
-lighten the rear clutch shoes to 180g
-mill the head .030

I may look into a pipe (Trinity, CT, or Hetrick) sometime later.

My son is going to have a nice Christmas. Now I just have to make sure he doesn't find it beforehand

Sweet deal. Your son is going to have an awesome X-mas. What's the tire/wheel set up on the that KFX80?
