You do not have a nikasiled cylinder.
Your shop should have ordered a new 1 size over piston, rings, pin, pin brg,cir clips and gaskets.
They will have the cylinder bored and honed to that piston.
Honing:
Some ppl put pistons and or rings in to keep fresh. This is when they hone the cylinder to basically clean it up for the new rings to seat.
Most cylinders that have been run a while needs to be done right with a new piston.
Now as to the joker with the statement of "it looks good". What kind of parts person would not know that a mini cylinder is not nikasiled?!
So what parts did they order?

I asked about an oversized piston ant they told me there wasn't one available for that quad. This is a dealer here in SE MI I'm working with.

They ordered everything OEM:

Piston
Rings
Piston Pin
2 piston clips
Needle bearing
Cylinder gasket
Head gasket

The parts guy and the guy at the service counter didn't know if the cylinder was nikasiled or not. They were supposed to call BRP for me tomorrow when they open (closed today). I brought the cylinder in sat after I took it apart and they both looked at it saying it should be fine ? Nothing was measured. The service guy mentioned that if it wasn't nikasiled he could have the cylinder walls re-hatched (right word ?) or something which would basically re-surface the walls ? I brought it in to be looked at because if there was something wrong with it it was 103$ for a new OEM cylinder and I wanted the parts to come in close together.

What do you think Boss ? I'm starting to think I'm chasing my tail.
